Faceless Japanese Rising Star JYuno Places in New Spielberg Film ‘GIRL’

New rising Japanese pop star JYuno is set to have three of their tracks featured in Destry Allen Spielberg’s newly announced psychological crime-thriller GIRL, with the film starring Jason Isaacs, Sofia Wylie, Luke Newton, and Maddie Ziegler. With the artist’s music playing important roles in the film, their distinct cinematic pop sound will be brought to the international stage at scale for the first time.

This announcement comes at a pivotal point in the anonymous star’s career, gaining over 30 million views across social media platforms in the past two months alone. Performing in a veil, the world built around the rising star transcends just the music sphere, incorporating fashion, illustration, and animation on top of the music to create a one-of-a-kind act. Commenting on their placement in GIRL, JYuno said…

“Being part of GIRL is incredibly meaningful to me. Music can express emotions that characters cannot always say out loud. I am very excited that these songs will become part of the world of the film and that audiences outside Japan will be able to discover my music through this story.”

GIRL wrapped filming in September 2026 and has yet to announce a release date publicly.
