Phoebe Bridgers has announced her third studio album, Lost Weekend, releasing on August 14th via Dead Oceans. This news comes after her run of surprise pop-up shows across the US, leading up to her sold-out Madison Square Garden show, announced just days before the event. These were the first times she had been seen on stage since sharing it with Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker while collecting their GRAMMY Awards for boygenius’s the record. This will be her first album since her critically acclaimed 2020 sophomore album, Punisher, and will be supported by her newly announced North America and Europe tour, which also sold out within hours of going on sale. Anyone expecting Lost Weekend to simply pick up where Bridgers left off is mistaken: Bridgers sounds fully in command of her craft, and while refining certain motifs that made her work her own, the record is full of surprises.
