The family of the five-time Grammy winner Ozzy Osbourne has announced the highly anticipated Grammy nominees for both Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Album. This announcement holds particular significance for the Osbournes, as Jack Osbourne states, “Dad won Grammys in both of these categories, so they are partially special to us.”

When Linkin Park’s From Zero was released on November 15, 2024, it was the topic of conversation for music fans worldwide. Turnstile’s fourth studio album, NEVER ENOUGH, was released on June 6 via Roadrunner Records. The album pushes genre boundaries with its unique incorporations, including a flute solo by the British jazz musician Shabaka Hutchings. NEVER ENOUGH has made its way to the top ten spots on charts worldwide, including the United States, Croatia, Germany, Scotland, Australia, and more. The album has now been nominated for Best Rock Album at the Grammys. Following the album’s release, the band released the accompanying movie TURNSTILE: NEVER ENOUGH. Night Terror
“Night Terror” was the first single released from Dream Theater’s sixth studio album Parasomnia. The concept album has received praise from MetalSucks, Classic Rock, Blabbermouth, and more. “Night Terror” covers themes of nightmares and sleep paralysis with lyrics such as “Eyes open wide but I can’t see”. The single is now up for Best Metal Performance at the Grammys.
Lachryma
The three-time Grammy nominees Ghost are back up again for Best Metal Performance for their song “Lachryma”. The song arrived on April 11 from their 2025 album, Skeletá, as its second single. Since its release, the single has amassed over 30 million streams on Spotify and over 12 million views on YouTube for its accompanying music video.
Emergence
Sleep Token’s fourth studio album, Even In Arcadia, took the number one spot on charts worldwide following its release on May 9. In anticipation of the iconic album, “Emergence” was released on March 13. The genre-defying single was written by the anonymous band members Vessel and Drummer II. It was produced by Carl Brown, known for his work with While She Sleeps, Trivium, and As I Lay Dying. The single is nominated for Best Metal Performance following its worldwide acclaim.
Soft Spine
Spiritbox released their second studio album, Tsunami Sea, on March 7. The album boasted three singles: “No Loss, No Love” released February 6, “Perfect Soul” released November 18, and the now Grammy-nominated “Soft Spine”, released September 6. “Soft Spine”’s accompanying cinematic, black and white music video has amassed over two million streams.
BIRDS
Turnstile returns with another Grammy nomination, this time for “BIRDS”. The single was released alongside “SEEIN’ STARS” on April 30. The band totals five Grammy nominations, besides Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance, the band is also up for Best Alternative Music Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Performance.
