This year’s aftershock has been described as “The biggest, most jaw-dropping Aftershock ever” – Kerrang. A record breaking number of people flooded Sacramento’s Discovery Park in order to see their favorite bands as they delivered unforgettable performances.
Record-Breaking Numbers
Aftershock is known for its memorable moments and has become a destination for rock fans across the world. This year fans from all 50 states and over 30 countries filled Sacramento’s Discovery Park.
However, this year set the record for the largest Aftershock in history. Over 164,000 fans gathered on the festival grounds to witness unforgettable performances, generating over $35 million in local economic impact.

Memorable Moments
The four days brought a total of 115 bands. On Thursday, Blink-182 delivered a nostalgia-driven set, featuring special guest Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio. The day also brought Good Charlotte, joined by Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley for “Fat Lip” and “In Too Deep”.
Friday was another monumental day. Deftones returned for a hometown show and performed on the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Adrenaline. Dream Theater also celebrated its 40th anniversary through their performance. Lamb of God performed a live debut of their song “Sepsis”, and frontman Randy Blythe joined Lacuna Coil for “Hosting the Shadow”. The Dillinger Escape Plan’s reunion made for another unforgettable Friday moment.
The following day featured Korn’s headlining set, which included a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne on “4 U”. It also marked their final tour date of 2025. Trivium added to the list of birthday bands, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ascendancy with a full album performance.
GWAR’s 40th anniversary show took place on the final day of the festival. Sunday also featured Chimaira playing their first West Coast show in 11 years. The day was concluded by Bring Me The Horizon, with a stunning sci-fi set design.

Danny Wimmer Presents Official Recognition
Aside from the music, Danny Wimmer Presents received official recognition from the city of Sacramento, the California State Assembly, and the California State Senate. They were honored by Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarthy, Senator Angelique Ashby, and Assemblymember Maggy Krell, in celebration of Aftershock’s decade-long legacy.
They recognized the cultural, economic, and charitable contributions to the Sacramento community, and more.
